Karina Mae Lowery

     Karina Mae Lowery of Hillsboro, MD passed away at the University of MD Medical Center in Baltimore, MD on Thursday, January 9, 2025. She was 33 years old.

     Ms. Lowery was a 2009 graduate of North Caroline High School near Ridgely, MD. Karina worked at the StarBucks in Denton, MD along with being a wonderful mother to her two daughters Kendall and Kaedyn.

     Karina is survived by her grandparents; Karen Carpenter of Seaford and Carroll and wife Hildred Lowery of Easton. She is also survived by her parents; Joe and wife Patti Lowery of Ridgely; and Cheryl Lowery and Cory Taylor of Easton. Along with her parents, she is survived by her siblings and step siblings; Kayla Lowery and Da’Vion Dockins of Hillsboro; Cameron Lowery and Katherine Bennett of Denton; Laura Ruff and Rob Conner of Sharptown; Emmy and husband Jake Ruffo of Princess Anne; Katie Ruff and Sterling Smykal of Virginia Beach; and Steven Ruff of Easton. She is also survived by five nieces and nephews; Da’Vion, Novah, Arianna, Emmi, and James. Along with nieces and nephews, she is also survived by many Aunts,Uncles and Cousins. Karina is preceded in death by her grandmother and grandfather Arline Leonard and David Carpenter. She is also preceded by an aunt and uncle Scott Lowery, and Judith Lowery.

     A memorial service will be held at the Hillsboro Queen Anne Methodist Church on February 14th at 6 pm. Along with a celebration of life being held on February 15, 2025 at the 4H Park Main Building on Detour Rd. in Denton, MD at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sending memorial donations to Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second Street, Denton, MD 21629 to help with funeral expenses.
