Kendall Clara Reuwer, of Denton, tragically passed away in an automobile accident on Thursday, April 9, 2026. She was 18 years old.
Born in Chestertown on November 15, 2007, she was the oldest daughter of Michael S. Reuwer and Kathryn D. Winstead Reuwer. Kendall tried different sports in her earliest years. During T-ball, she would build sandcastles. On the soccer field, she picked dandelions. She would cry if she had to go to ballet class. One day, Nin said “let’s send the girls to pony camp. It will be good for them.” And that is where Kendall found her passion. She joined Pony Express 4-H Club as a timid young girl, and evolved into a leader, mentor, role model, and finally President of the Club. Kendall competed on the Maryland State Horsebowl and Horse Judging Teams and represented the state of Maryland for 2 consecutive years at the 4-H National Convention in Louisville, Kentucky. She was also an active member of Tuckahoe Pony Club, where she qualified and competed in the National Pony Club Champs at Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. Kendall was a member of the Maryland Rough Riders Horse Club and loved participating in parades and drill team with them. She enjoyed teaching and mentoring young equestrians in their journeys by hosting horse camps and lessons at her home farm. After completing high school, Kendall started her own business (Delmarva Magnawave) and achieved her certification in PEMF.
In addition to her loving parents, she is survived by three precious siblings: Marissa, Grayson, and Wyatt; maternal grandmother: Mary Winstead; paternal grandparents: Lisa Parker and Richard Booze; paternal great-grandfather: Robert Parker; aunts and uncles: Kelly Winstead Vogt (Timmy), April Winstead Cheshaek (Dean), Taylor Parker Adsit (Kyle), Connel Parsons, Tyler Parker (Lacey); beloved cousins: Alexis, Garrett, Hayden, Weston, Lucas, Reed, & newborn Henry; boyfriend (“friend not friend”) RJ Maule; and countless more loving family and friends.
Kendall is predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Grayson Winstead; paternal great-grandmother, Mary Louise Parker; paternal aunt, Robin Parker; and her greatest equine success, Rosie the thoroughbred.
Kendall’s memorial gathering will be held Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 405 Crouse Mill Road in Queen Anne, Maryland. Visitation from 12-2, followed by a Celebration of Life. Cowboy boots are encouraged, and Kendall’s favorite color was hot pink. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Kendall’s fund [to be used for a memorial scholarship; monies payable to Mike or Katie Reuwer (26750 Anthony Mill Rd, Denton, MD 21629); there will also be a collection bucket at her Celebration of Life].
Life is short. Love big. Laugh often. Eat the cookies. #ridelikekendall
