Kenneth Ray Bennett of Greensboro, Maryland passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023, at his home. He was 69 years old.
Born November 6, 1953, in Baltimore, Ken was raised by his loving foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stevens. He was a 1974 graduate of North Caroline High School. Ken was a truck driver and he liked to be busy, he drove from IMS, New Road, and United Shellfish. When he wasn’t driving, he worked for Stanley Hutchins Supply and was an elementary school janitor.
Kenny loved all things automotive; he built model cars, watched NASCAR, worked on his cousin’s race car, went to car shows, attended monster truck rallies, and the Ridgely train show. He was an avid outdoorsman, spending his time fishing, gardening, and horseback riding. Ken shared these hobbies and interests with his family. Playing outside regardless of the weather or just watching lightning with his grandchildren. Ken truly loved being a husband, father, and grandfather.
Ken is survived by his wife, Linda Bennett of Greensboro; son, Jason Bennett (Sara) of Greensboro; daughter, Holly Beebe (Robert) of Federalsburg; six grandchildren: Robert Beebe, Mary Bennett, Alexis Beebe, Jason Bennett, Jr., Laura Bennett, and Katherine Bennett. He was preceded in death by his cousin, Allen Reed.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 5-7PM at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. 12 S. 2nd St. Denton, MD. The funeral service will be Friday, April 28, 2023, at 11AM from the Moore Funeral Home. The burial will be in the Denton Cemetery 24865 Meeting House Rd. Denton, MD.
