Do Soon (Kim) Calloway of Denton, MD, passed away at her home on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was 90 years old.
Born in Seoul, Korea on June 1, 1934, Mrs. Calloway was the daughter of the late Kim Kun Ok and Kim Kang tan Kye. She and her husband of 66 years, William Calloway of Denton, met in Korea during his service there. They were married in Seoul, Korea on May 12, 1958. They have resided in Denton for 62 years.
Mrs. Calloway worked for Thermalink in Denton and Solo Cup in Federalsburg for 47 years. However, her life was her family as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Calloway is survived by two daughters, Patty Calloway (Joey Thompson) and Donna Breeding (David), both of Denton; three grandchildren: Shane Young (Emma), Josh Breeding (Lisa), and Cole Breeding (Talia); and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Jay Calloway, on June 14, 2023.
The memorial services will be private. If friends wish to send memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Calloway, the family suggests sending them to the Ridgely Lions Club, PO Box 143, Ridgely, MD 21660.
