Lawrence E. Kutlik, Sr. of Baltimore, MD, passed away peacefully at the Caroline Hospice House in Denton, MD surrounded by members of his family. He was 87 years old.
Born in Baltimore, Mr. Kutlik was the son of the late Charles John Kutlik and Lillian Mae Gunn Kutlik. His wife, Rosalie Marie Kutlik, died in December of 2008. Mr. Kutlik was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean Conflict. He worked for 35 years at Bethlehem Steel in Baltimore, retiring in 1985. His retirement years were filled with time with family and his passion for ballroom dancing.
Mr. Kutlik is survived by three sons: Lawrence E. Kutlik, Jr. of Parkville, MD, Martin G. Kutlik (and his wife, Alina) of Glen Arm, MD, and Charles J. Kutlik (and his wife, Dawn) of Carney, MD, a daughter, Marie A. Freeman (and her husband, Daniel) of Denton; and three grandsons: Ryan D. Freeman, Martin G. Kutlik II, and Charles J. Kutlik, Jr. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Brianna Nicole Freeman, two brothers: Charles Bernard Kutlik and Joseph Raymond Kutlik, and a sister, Shirley Katherine Kutlik Rezac.
Family and friends will honor Lawrence’s life at a Christian Memorial Service at the Calvary Chapel Baltimore, 9341 Philadelphia Road, Baltimore MD 21237 on Saturday, July 21st. The family will receive guests at 10 a.m. followed by the service at 10:30 a.m..
Interment in Denton Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Caroline Hospice Foundation, 613 S. 5th Ave., Denton, MD 21629.
