Leona M. Detwiler

Leona “Lee” Mae Detwiler of Felton, DE passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at the Denton Nursing and Rehab in Denton, MD.  She was 86 years old. 

     Born in Cambridge, MD, Mrs. Detwiler was the daughter of the late Leroy Morris and Alice Margaret Bell Kennedy.  She was a 1956 graduate of Cambridge High School and had worked in banking, credit, and retail as a clerk. 

     Mrs. Detwiler is survived by two brothers: Richard "Dickie" Christopher (Margaret) and Donald Bell (Barbara); and three sisters: Betty Elms, Alice Wilson, and Linda Kennedy. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jacky Christopher and John Kennedy.

     A funeral service will be 1 PM on Thursday, June 12th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton where friends may visit from 12 until 1 before the service.

The interment will be in the East New Market Cemetery in East New Market, MD.
