Linda Susan Turner of Denton, Maryland, passed away peacefully at Talbot Hospice on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. She was 74 years old.
Linda was born on June 20, 1950, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late Salvatore Marchese and Edythe C. D’Alonzo Marchese.
Her greatest joy in life came from the love and happiness of her family. Linda is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, M. Arthur Turner; her two sons, Brad Turner (Amanda) and Christopher Turner (Jennifer); and her cherished grandchildren, Cole, Davis, Grayson, and Olivia. She also leaves behind her beloved sister, Josephine Englehart.
Throughout her life, Linda found great purpose and strength in her faith. She was an active member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Denton, where she served as Treasurer and a dedicated congregant for many years. Professionally, Linda was a longtime financial assistant at Merrill Lynch in southern New Jersey, before she retired in 2016.
Linda leaves behind a legacy of love for her family and friends, and a commitment to her faith. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 11am at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 100 S. 5th Ave., Denton, MD. Friends and family may visit with the family from 10-11am before the service. The burial will take place on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 10am at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 550 Delsea Dr., Sewell, NJ.
