Loretta D. Ewell

     Loretta D. Ewell, 83, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026, at North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. A longtime resident of Salisbury, Maryland, Loretta was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister known for her steady love and dedication to her family.

     A woman of deep and abiding conviction, Loretta’s life was guided by her strong faith in the Lord, which served as her foundation and a source of comfort to those around her.

     She is reunited in peace with her husband, Arthur Ewell, and her siblings, Harold Ramey, Joanne Rhodes, and Patsy Crouse.

     Loretta’s memory will be carried on by her daughters, Mary Skrodinsky and Stephanie Daisey, and her siblings, Blanch Ramey, Larry Ramey, and Wanda Gentry. She also leaves behind a legacy of love through her grandchildren—David Johnson, Brian Johnson, Nathan Johnson, and Terri Smith—along with a cherished generation of great-grandchildren.

     A memorial service to celebrate Loretta’s life and legacy will be held at 11 am on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the Moore Funeral Home in Denton, MD where friends may call from 10 until 11 before the service.
