Margaret Arrington Obituary

     Margaret Elizabeth Arrington of Federalsburg, MD, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at her home. She was 73 years old.

     Born in Philadelphia, PA, Ms. Arrington was the daughter of the late Robert Young Kane, Sr. and Delores May Donaldson Kane. She was a 1969 graduate of Southern Senior High School in Annapolis.

     A loving mother and grandmother, Ms. Arrington was a bookkeeper in the seafood industry. Later in life, she was a homemaker and frequently volunteered for organizations that her children and grandchildren joined. She was an avid book reader and enjoyed logic puzzles, crafts, and jigsaw puzzles. She taught majorettes for 20 years in Queen Anne’s and Talbot counties. She was a member of the Bridgeville, DE Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.

     Ms. Arrington is survived by two daughters, Tricia Arrington of Ridgely, MD and Amanda Arrington Carroll of Federalsburg, MD; two brothers, Robert Kane, Jr. of Denton, MD and John Kane of Hollywood, FL; three grandchildren: Kelsie Carroll, Kayla Carroll, and Karly Carroll; many nieces and nephews; and others whom she loved as children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her first husband, George Eichler; a brother, Norman Lawrence; and a sister, Florence Hawkins.

     A memorial celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025 at GVFC Community Hall 13781 Greensboro Rd, Greensboro, MD. Friends may visit with the family from 1p to 2p and the service will follow. Please send your favorite photos and memories to Tricia or Amanda for use at the service. If friends wish to make a memorial donation in memory of Ms. Arrington, the family suggests sending them to Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 South Second St., Denton, MD 21629 to help with funeral expenses.
