Obituary

     Margaret Jane Hignutt of Denton, MD, passed away peacefully at the Sterling Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Forest Hill, MD on Wednesday, March 29, 2023. She was 87 years old.

     Born in Denton on March 5, 1936, Margaret was the daughter of the late Daniel and Sadie Wooters Hignutt. She had lived in Denton all of her life.

     In her younger years, she was a Domestic and had worked at many different jobs and locations. Well-known by many, Margaret was a familiar face in the Denton community.

     In addition to her parents, Margaret Jane is preceded in death by three brothers: Paul Hignutt in 1987, Raymond Hignutt in 2001, and Earl Hignutt, Sr. in 2012. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

     A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Monday, April 3rd, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S, Second Street in Denton. The interment will follow in the Denton Cemetery in West Denton where Margaret Jane grew up.
