Margaret Ruth Pippin of Denton, MSD, passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. She was 92 years old.
Born on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Mrs. Pippin was the daughter of the late Miles Riley Reed and Margaret B. Reed. Her husband, P. Nelson Pippin, passed away on November 7, 1999.
Mrs. Pippin had worked as a secretary at the Caroline Soil Conservation in the Denton Post Office for many years. Known as a very hard worker, she had also driven a school bus for Walter Kerslake and was an active worker for Thawley’s Chapel in Tuckahoe Neck and Calvary Baptist Church in Denton.
Mrs. Pippin is survived by three sons: Paul N. Pippin, Jr., Philip M. Pippin, and Carlton W. Pippin (Connie), all of Denton; two grandchildren, Paul Pippin, III and Amy Pippin; and multiple great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas B. Reed and Marion M. Reed.
A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon on Tuesday, March 28th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may call from 11 to Noon before the service. The interment will be in the Denton Cemetery.
If friends wish to send memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Pippin, the family suggests sending them to the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. in Denton to help with funeral expenses.
