Margaret Ann Thorpe of Greensboro, MD passed away at the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center at Easton, MD on Friday, November 11, 2022. She was 79 years old.
Born in Easton, Mrs. Thorpe was the daughter of the late Clarence Arlington Greenlee and Lena Thelma Brown Greenlee.
A graduate of North Caroline High School in Denton, Mrs. Thorpe had worked in production at Allen Foods in Cordova, retiring in 2008. She loved reading and walking in the outdoors. But, most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Thorpe is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Thorpe (Stephen Carr) of Ridgely, MD and Joanne Thorpe of Georgia; three sisters: Geraldine Lister of Delaware, Carolyn Crist of Bridgetown, MD, and Rosalie Harris of Whitleysburg, DE; two brothers: Milton Greenlee of West Virginia, Billy Greenlee of North Carolina; four grandchildren: Alicia, Jennifer, Jesse, and Holly; sixteen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and her best friend, Pamela Smith. She was preceded in death by a son, Carl Richard “Ricky” Thorpe, Jr. and a brother, Marion Greenlee.
A funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, November 17th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton where friends may visit from 1 until 2 before the service. A Memorial Interment will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, November 19th, in Denton Cemetery.
