Mark D. Auman of Federalsburg, MD, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025, at his home from natural causes. He was 52 years old.
Born in Allentown, PA on November 4, 1972, Mr. Auman was the son of Harry M. Auman, Jr. (Carolyn) of Easton, MD and the late Janet Louise Moxley Auman. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Dawn Auman of Harrington, DE; a son, Jacob Daniel Auman of Harrington; a sister, Rebecca Coleen Auman of Easton; two stepbrothers, Frank Starkey (Kerry) and Shawn Starkey (Marie), both of Greensboro, MD; a sister-in-law, Kathy Humphries (Dale) of Hurlock; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Molly. He was predeceased by a baby sister, Nancy Louise Auman, and a brother-in-law, Jeffrey Prahl.
Mr. Auman was a 1992 graduate of Easton High School and had worked at the Caroline Nursing Home in Denton, MD for twenty years as a Med Tech and a CNA. He was an excellent employee who was a strong advocate for those who he took care of. A man with many friends, he was an Eagle Scout who loved the Baltimore Ravens, Star Wars, and was an avid reader. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am at St. Elizabeth’s Roman Catholic Church located on First Street in Denton on Friday, November 21st. The interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sending donations to the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second Street to help with funeral expenses.
