Mark J. Johnson, Sr.

     Mark J. Johnson, Sr. of Chester, MD, passed away at his home on Thursday, February 9, 2023. He was 42 years old.

     Born in Silver Spring, MD on May 7, 1980, Mark was the son of Eric Bruce Johnson, Sr. and Janet Lee Woltz Johnson, both of Abbottstown, PA. His wife, Jennifer M. Johnson, passed away on June 24, 2020.

     Mark was a driver for Adams Publishing Group in Easton, MD. He was also a skilled mechanic, frequently working on vehicles of his own or others. He loved his family and children dearly and had an amazing witty and sparkling sense of humor.

     Mark is survived by his son, Mark Johnson, Jr. of Abbington, MD; his daughter, Jessica Johnson of Chester; two sisters, Joy Denes (Derek) of Centreville, MD and Meggan Gage (Joseph) of Abbottstown; two brothers, Eric Bruce Johnson, Jr. (Jamie) of Centreville and Gregory Johnson (Julie) of Beaver Creek, OH; a sister-in-law, Anna Bell (Kevin) of Chestertown, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Kirk Johnson and Jacob Johnson.

     A Celebration of Life for Mark will be from 2 to 4 this Thursday, February 16th, at the Grasonville Volunteer Fire Department located at 4128 Main Street in Grasonville, MD 21638.
