Mary Caroline (Saulsbury Callahan) Dunn

     Mary Caroline Saulsbury Callahan Dunn of Ridgely, MD, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020. She was 87 years old.

     Born in Ridgely on January 30, 1933, Mrs. Dunn was the daughter of the late Albert Wright Saulsbury and Ruth Connelly Saulsbury. Her first husband, Donald E. “Tommy” Callahan, Sr., died September 29, 1987 and her second husband, Jimmy L. Dunn, died January 5, 2020. 

     From 1970 until 1980, Mrs. Dunn owned and operated Mary’s Shoppe in Denton, MD. She was a regular winter traveler to Florida and enjoyed reading and golf.

     Mrs. Dunn is survived by a daughter, Patty C. Downes (Bennett) of Dover, DE; two sons, T. Keene Callahan (Renee) of Denton and Mark DeFord Callahan (Arlene) of Mechanicsburg, PA; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; two brothers: Charles Saulsbury (Rita) of Dover and Daniel Saulsbury (Charlotte) of Albany, CA. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald E. “Robin” Callahan, Jr.; two sisters, Patty S. Rhoades and Ruth Pepper; and a brother, Albert (Bert) Saulsbury.

     A 9 to 10 visitation followed by a 10 am memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 5th, at the Cow Barn at 101 Cow Barn Road in Ridgely. The family suggests bringing a picnic lunch to enjoy in the garden during the service.
