Mary Ellen Chalupa

Mary Ellen Chalupa of Ridgely, MD, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.  She was 70 years old.
     Born in New York, Mrs. Chalupa was the daughter of the late Harold Wilbur Humpleby and Greta Sophia Humpleby.  Her husband, Stefan Chalupa, died October 23, 2013.
     Mrs. Chalupa was a homemaker.  She was a member of Caroline American Legion Post 29 Auxiliary. 
     Mrs. Chalupa is survived by two daughters, Joann Osborne (Paul) of Denton, MD, and Linda Chalupa (Michelle Haley) of Ridgely; a sister, Helen Mendes of Felton, DE; two brothers: Edward Humpleby (Lynn) of Queen Anne, MD, and Albert Humpleby (Toni) of Florida; and four grandchildren: Tabitha Turner (James Ostrom) of Harrington, DE, Jayme Abbott (Benjamin) of Fayetteville, NC, Christopher Chalupa-Roop of Ridgely, and Paul Osborne, Jr. of Delaware.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Nott and a brother, Harold Humpleby.
   A funeral service will be held at 1 o’clock on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton where friends may call one hour prior to the service.  The interment will be in the Green Mount Cemetery in Hillsboro.
