Meridith Bozman Handley of Denton, MD, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Compass Hospice in Centreville, MD. She was 82 years old.
Born on Tilghman Island on July 6, 1941, Mrs. Handley was the daughter of the late Henry Morris Bozman and Eva Louise Harrison Bozman. She was a 1959 graduate of St. Michaels High School. Mrs. Handley began working as a legal secretary, finishing out her career as an executive assistant at Memorial Hospital in Easton, MD. In her spare time, she enjoyed flower gardening, puzzles, feeding and watching birds, particularly hummingbirds and yellow finches, square dancing, reading and spending time with her family. She has been attending Refuge Christian Fellowship Church of Greensboro, MD for the past 11 years.
Mrs. Handley is survived by two daughters, Lisa A. Cruz (Eder) of Rhodesdale, MD and Karen M. Monteith (Warren) of Denton; two grandchildren, Christen Willey and Jessica Willey, both of Greensboro; and two great grandchildren, Chelsea and Daniel. She was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Wallace and a brother, Harold Bozman.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 6, at the Refuge Christian Fellowship Church in Greensboro, MD.
