Nardella Lynn Smith of Denton, MD, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, March 2, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was 65 years old.
Born at Ft. Meade, MD on November 27, 1954, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the Samuel Evans of Huntingtown, MD and the late Betty Jane Felter Evans. She graduated from the Severna Park High School in Severna Park, MD in 1972 and received her B.A from Bowie State College. Mainly a homemaker and mother, she found time to be a Regional Director for High’s and also had a Day Care in the Pasadena and Howard County areas.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband of 46 years, Michael Smith, Sr. of Denton; six children: Michael Smith, Jr. (Michele) of Elkridge, Regina Cobb of Denton, Chad Smith (Korey) of Ft. Meyers, FL, Joshua Smith of Joppa, Adrianna of Denton and Justin Smith of Denton; ten grandchildren: Kristen (Marsalis), Michael III, Jack, Chy’ad, Isabella, Chloe, Elaina, Max, Kendall, and Allyson; two great grandchildren: Gabriella and Santino; and six siblings: Donna, Jimmy, Brenda, Ramona, and Glenie. She was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Leon.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, March 7th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S. Second Street in Denton where there will be a viewing/visitation from 11 to 12 before the service. The interment will be private.
