Nicholas P. Whitley of Denton, MD, passed away at Bayhealth Kent Campus in Dover, DE on Monday, August 30, 2022, the result of a motorcycle accident in Felton, DE. He was 28 years old.
Born in Baltimore in 1994, Nick was the son of John O. Whitley of Ridgely, MD, and Melanie J. Hernandez (Daniel Hernandez) of Denton, MD. In addition to his parents and stepfather, Nick is survived by wife, Samantha Maureen Sauquillo, two brothers, Joseph O. Whitley and James P. Whitley, both of Denton; and a stepsister, Anna Hernandez of Seattle, WA.
Nick grew up in Caroline County and was a 2012 graduate of North Caroline High School. A kind and popular young man, he liked helping people and often did. He loved hunting, the outdoors, and the water. He had been working out of Kent Island as a waterman.
