Nora “Pinkey” Kirsch of Denton, MD, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at the UM Shore Medical Center in Easton, MD after a sudden and valiant battle with cancer. She was 68 years old.
Born in Milford, DE on January 5, 1956, Pinkey was the daughter of her beloved father and mother, G. Earl States and Nettie Hurd States. She was a 1975 graduate of Queen Anne High School in Centreville, MD.
Pinkey was an animal caretaker and home cleaner for many families in Caroline County and the surrounding areas. She showed an amazing ability to communicate with people’s pets, endearing herself to all who knew her. She also had a deep love for Alpacas, caring for them for several area owners as well as her own Alpaca, Patriot.
Pinkey is survived by her husband, Frederick F. Kirsch, Jr. of Denton; two sisters, Jo Ann Schlotzhauer (Jimmy) of Harrington, DE, Mary S. Rogers of Queen Anne, MD; a niece, Shannon Stafford (Andrew) of Harrington, DE and their son, Ethan; a nephew, Jim Schlotzhauer (Sandy) of Greenwood, DE and their children, Buddy and Christian; a niece, Nikki Rogers of S. Carolina and her daughter, Cheyenne; and a niece, Kayla Rogers of Secretary, MD and her children, Skylar Blades and Chase Blades; a stepson, Frederick F. Kirsch, III and his son, Frederick F. Kirsch, IV. She was preceded in death by a great nephew, C. J. Rogers.
The funeral service will be 12 Noon on Monday, May 6th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may visit with the family from 11 to 12 before the service. The interment will be in the Denton Cemetery.
