Norma Lee MacDonald of Denton, MD passed away at the Arcadia ALF in Denton on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. She was 79 years old.
Born in Denton on March 23, 1939, Mrs. MacDonald was the daughter of the late Alvin Lawrence Otwell and Clementine Audrey Poland Otwell. Her husband, Robert B. MacDonald, Sr., died August 6, 2008.
Mrs. MacDonald was a 1957 graduate of Caroline High School in Denton. She had worked for DuPont in Seaford and then worked for Preston Trucking for many years before retiring in the mid 1990’s. She loved to travel, bowled in the Sr. League in Easton, and liked to play the slots in Harrington. Prior to that, she raced drag cars for nearly 20 years. Above and beyond everything, though, she was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family was always the most important part of her life.
Mrs. MacDonald is survived by her son, R. Bruce MacDonald, Jr. (Gayle) of Preston, MD; two grandchildren, Lindsay M. Young (Shane) of Preston and R.B. MacDonald III of Gaithersburg, MD; and three great grandchildren: Sydney, Holden, and Nash. In addition to her husband, Mrs. MacDonald is predeceased by a great grandchild, Liam Young, and a sister-in-law, Roe Geitner.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, October 3rd, at the Moore Funeral home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton where friends may visit with the family from 6 until 8 on Tuesday evening. The interment will be in the Denton Cemetery in Denton.
