Ottis "Eddie" Breeding, Jr.

     Ottis Edward Breeding, Jr. of Hickman near Denton, MD passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 71 years old.       

     Born in Hickman on December 27, 1946, Mr. Breeding was the son of Mary Ellen Walls Breeding of Denton and the late Ottis E. Breeding, Sr. He lived in Hickman in Caroline County all of his life and attended North Caroline High School. He was the owner and operator of O.E. Breeding and Son Excavating, Inc. in Hickman. He was a long time member of the Sons Of The American Legion (S.A.L.) and the Choptank River Yacht Club. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Hatteras fishing trips. He was a wonderful and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He thoroughly enjoyed and took great pride in his work.

     In addition to his mother, Mr. Breeding is survived by his wife of 52 years, Bonnie L. Breeding of Hickman; two sons, Mark E. Breeding (Christa) and Rob M. Breeding (Christine), both of Smithville; a sister, Barbara E. Smith (Jim) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a brother, James Richard (Rick) Breeding (Karen) of Denton; four grandchildren: Lauren Winstead, Ryan Breeding, Skylar Elburn, and Justin Breeding; two great grandchildren, Christopher and Cole Winstead; and his faithful dog, Riley.

     Funeral services will be 1 PM on Thursday, May 10th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton where friends may visit with the family from 6 until 8 on Wednesday evening and from 12 until 1 before the service on Thursday . The interment will be in the Denton Cemetery. Rev. Denzil Cheek will officiate.
