Patricia A. Whalen of Denton, MD, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. She was 88 years old.
Born in Washington, D.C. on August 11, 1937, Pat was the daughter of the late Agnus (Bauer) Jones and Edmund Jones. She was the wife of the late William Whalen and they made their home in Edgewater, MD for twenty-five years. She was a homemaker and caregiver to many over the years. She was an active member and volunteer at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. She enjoyed time spent with family and friends.
Pat played a very active role in the lives of her two grandsons, Bobby and Patrick, as well as her great grandchildren: Hope, Michaela, Natalie, and Travis. She was also blessed to have seen her great-great grandson, Oaklin (Hope). She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Brown (Bob) of Denton with whom she has lived since 2015. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Pat was preceded in death by two brothers, Edmund and Phil Jones; and nine sisters: Agnus Bachman (Bernie), Katherine Bonini, Netta Gledich, Alma Streicher, Mary Blackwell, Gertrude Whitman, Margaret Russell, Emma MacMannis, and her twin, Thelma Jones.
There will be a graveside service at 2 pm on Thursday, December 4th, in the Hillcrest Memorial Park located at 1911 Forest Drive in Annapolis, MD. In lieu of flowers and a viewing, Pat wished for family and friends to honor her in prayer or a Mass said for her.
