Paul Martin Quanbeck

     Paul Martin Quanbeck of Ridgely, MD, passed away at the Compass Hospice Barnette Center in Centreville, MD on Thursday, August 4, 2022. He was 88 years old.

     Born in Mankato, MN, Mr. Quanbeck was the son of the late Martin Quanbeck and Esther Goodrich Quanbeck. His wife, Adelaide Quanbeck, passed away on November 27, 2005.

     Mr. Quanbeck grew up in Minneapolis, MN where he graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1951, then graduated from Augsburg College in 1955, and then was in the US Army for 2 years. For many years, he had been a computer programmer for IBM in Poughkeepsie, NY and then for several other companies, retiring in the 1990’s. He has lived in Ridgely since 1987. He was well-loved and closely cared for by his neighbors.

     Mr. Quanbeck is survived by his brother and his wife, David and Carol Quanbeck of Eden Prairie, MN.

     A memorial service in the MD Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery will be announced later.
