Paula H. Butler of Luthersville, GA, formerly of Denton, MD, passed away at the Arcadia II in Denton. She was 94 years old.
Born in Viola, KS, Mrs. Butler was the daughter of the late Raymond Nicholas Simon and Hildegard Hotze Simon. Her first husband, Henry Christ, died January 21, 1985, and her second husband, Woodrow “Bill” W. Butler, died March 18, 2002.
For years, Mrs. Butler was a bookkeeper for Denton Trucking in Denton. She also enjoyed making wreaths, ceramics, baking, and gardening. She was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Roman Catholic Church in Denton.
Mrs. Butler is survived by a daughter, Nina North Moran of Luthersville, GA; two sons, William North (Penelope) of South Port, NC and Henry R. Christ (Faith) of Denton; a sister, Mary Hamersky of Wichita, KS; two grandchildren, Mark Christ (Erin) and Laura Christ, both of Denton; and four great grandchildren: Zachary Christ, Zoe Christ, Bridget Greenwell, and Aubrey Greenwell. She was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Simon, and three sisters: Frieda Morris, Marlene Hein, and Gloria Jean Spraberry.
There are no services here. There will be a family memorial service in Viola, KS.
