Pearl Margaret Walls of Federalsburg, Maryland passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, at her home. She was 93 years old.
Born in Bridgetown, MD, Mrs. Walls was the daughter of the late Carlton Stanley Pratt and Mary Ella Lynch Pratt. She is preceded in death by two husbands: John Welzel and Joe Byran Walls.
Mrs. Walls had worked for many years at Saulsbury Brothers in Ridgely. She enjoyed dancing, bingo, crocheting, and especially bowling.
Mrs. Walls is survived by three children: Paul Welzel (Darlene), Richard Welzel (Barbara), and Randy Welzel, Sr. (Leona); a brother, James Pratt (Sandy); a sister, Nancy Smith (Arnie); 10 grandchildren: Billie Jean, Karen, Kim, Randy, Jr., Curt, Scott, Paul, Jr., Heidi, John, and Michelle; and 17 great grandchildren. In addition to her two husbands, she was predeceased by a daughter, Shirley Welzel; two sons, John Welzel and William Welzel; brother, Pete Pratt; and two sisters, Carolyn Postals and Mary Edwards.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, June 24th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton, MD where friends may visit with the family from 10 until 11 before the service. The interment will be in Greensboro Cemetery.
