R. Troy Jennette

     R. Troy Jennette passed away at his home near Federalsburg, MD on Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

     He was 82 years old. Born in Swanquarter, NC on September 12, 1937, Mr. Jennette was the son of the late Willie Lee Jennette and Cora Mae McKenney. A U.S. Army veteran, he had been a Security Guard for BG&E. He retired in 1994 and moved to Caroline County from Southern Maryland in 2003.

     Mr. Jennette is survived by three sons: Fred Jennette (Jennifer) of Greenwood, DE, Robert Jennette, Jr. of Denton and Anthony Thomas Jennette, Sr. (Virginia) of Denton; five grandchildren: Joseph Dillon Jennette, Christopher David Jennette, Rainy Myers (Lucas), Anthony Jennette, Jr., and Anna Jennette; and two great grandchildren: Jakob and Kevlin. He was predeceased by a son, William Martin Jennette, and a sister, Charlotte O’Dell.

     A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 10th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may visit with the family from 10 until 11 before the service. The interment will be private.
