Rallie "Ron" G. King

Rallie “Ron” Gest King passed peacefully at his home in Denton, Maryland on Monday, May 22, 2023. He was 74 years old.

Born in Glasgow, KY, he was the son of the late Adolphus Wesley King and Zelma Dean Howard King. Rallie was a 1967 graduate of Louisville Male High School and attended college briefly before enlisting in the Air Force, where he proudly served for four years. Mr. King was a man of great faith and led an active spiritual life with his church family at Church of the Living Waters.

Rallie is survived by his wife, Joan M. King; daughter, Penny Thornton (Tim); five grandchildren: Rallie Chaney, Robert Chaney, T.J. Thornton, Kalina Nguyen, and Jacklynn Tu; and his sister, Renee Shay. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sherry Blackwell.

Visitation will be on Friday, May 26, 2023, at the Church of the Living Waters 9058 Double Hills Rd, Denton, MD 21629 from 10:30 to 11:30AM, the memorial service will follow at 11:30. Inurnment will be in the MD Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery 6827 E. New Market Ellwood Rd. Hurlock, MD 21643 at 1:00PM.
