Raymond Otho Wolfe of Federalsburg, MD, passed away on Tuesday, June 25th, at his home after a prolonged illness. He was 80 years old.
Born in Baltimore, Mr. Wolfe was the son of the late Otho Wolfe and Nona M. Mulberger Wolfe. He and his family moved to the Eastern Shore in 2001 after retiring as a civilian pipe fitter for the U.S. Coast Guard in Curtis Bay in Baltimore. He was a member of the UAW Pipe Fitters in Baltimore.
Mr. Wolfe and his wife were members of the Harmony United Methodist Church, and he loved hunting and fishing. He also loved watching his sons and grandsons play baseball in Little League, Travel Ball, and high school. But, most of all, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Wolfe is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary A. Wolfe of Federalsburg; two sons: Eric C. Wolfe (Nikki) of Preston, MD and Derik R. Wolfe (Cheryl) of Federalsburg; and six grandchildren: Sara, Mercedes, Ashlyn, Hunter, Gavin, and Jesse. He is preceded in death by a son, Brad Wolfe, on October 25, 2007; a brother, Robert Wolfe; and a sister, Anna Dean.
Friends may visit with the family Monday, July 1st, from 6-8PM at Moore Funeral Home, P.A. 12 S. 2nd St. Denton, MD 21629. A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, July 2nd, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. The interment will be in the Spring Hill Memory Garden located at 27260 Ocean Gateway in Hebron, MD.
