Rennert Thomas Zepp of Denton, MD, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 76 years old.
Mr. Zepp was born in Baltimore, MD on June 21, 1943. He was the son of the late Edgar Gordon Zepp and Bernadette Mary Zepp Wright. At home, he was known as “Ren” and at work, he was known as “Tom”. Mr. Zepp graduated from Catonsville High School in 1961 after which he served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He then worked as an electrician at Seagram’s in Baltimore for 35 years, retiring in January 2001. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local #24. His hobby was woodworking with which he made ships, cars, doll houses, and furniture. He loved the Orioles, Ravens, and the Shore Birds. But, most of all, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. Zepp is survived by his wife, Linda Zepp of Denton; a daughter, Kimberly Zepp of Denton; a son, Mark Zepp & wife Reneau of Denton; a sister, Bernadette Hnat & husband Frank of Middletown, DE; a brother, Edward Zepp & wife Rosemarie of Punta Gorda, FL; five grandchildren: Heather Grindle of Baltimore, Samantha Howard & husband Orry of Hartley, DE, Corey Grindle of Monroe, GA, Ashley Zepp of Laurel, DE, and Mark Zepp, Jr. in the U.S. Air Force; one great granddaughter, Kinsley Howard;a brother-in-law, Bud Scherer of Baltimore, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 27th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may call from 3 until 6 on Sunday. The interment will be at 1:30 Monday afternoon at the Glen Haven Memorial Park located at 7231 Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie, MD.
