Richard K. Andrew (Ricky) of Preston, MD, passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at the UM Shore Medical Center at Easton, MD. He was 67 years old.
Born in Easton on May 11, 1958, Ricky was the son of the late Louis Chance Andrew and Joyce Ann Baker Andrew. He was a 1976 graduate of North Caroline High School.
Ricky’s father was the sheriff for many years, and Ricky lived in the Caroline County jail from the age of two until he graduated from high school. For a while he worked at Saulsbury Brothers in Ridgely before going to work for his grandfather, Charles “Doc” Baker at Baker Printing in Denton. Rick eventually became the owner and operated it for many years until he retired.
Ricky was a past Worshipful Master of Temple Lodge #128 AF&AM in Denton. He hunted, fished, had rabbit dogs, and went to every game and sports practice of his grandchildren. He was a great husband, father, and poppy.
Ricky is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Mary Sue (Suzi) Andrew of Preston; his son, Matthew Andrew of Preston; and three grandchildren: Marlie, Nolan, and Lainey; several nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Jerry Alvey of Preston. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Linda Andrew.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, January 21st, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton where friends may call from 6 until 8 on Tuesday evening where Masonic service will be held at 7 pm. The interment will be in the Jr. Order Cemetery in Preston. Per Rick’s request dress will be casual for all services.
Pallbearers to lay Richard to his final resting place will be life long friends and family, David Rice, Jay Adams, Jason Willey, JW Willey, Jake Andrew, Danny Andrew, Matthew Andrew and Nolan Andrew. Honorary Pallbearers Marlie Andrew and Lainey Andrew.
