Richard "Rick" Allen Reedy, Sr.

     Richard Allen Reedy, Sr. of Easton, MD, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at the University of MD Shore Medical Center at Easton. He was 73 years old.

     Born in Winston-Salem, NC on May 22, 1951, Rick, as he was called, was the son of the late Junior Martin Reedy and Doris Cooke Reedy. Rick and his family moved to the Eastern Shore in 1977. He had worked in Receiving at Giant Foods for thirty years, retiring in 1999. From there, he opened his own custodial business in which he maintained until his passing. As someone who always wanted to stay busy, he also worked at Captain’s Ketch Seafood delivering seafood. More importantly than being a hard-working man, he was a dedicated husband and loving father and grandfather.

     Rick is survived by his wife, Catherine L. Reedy of Easton; two daughters, Katrina Gestole (Rico) of Sudlersville, MD and Diana Rollins (Jesse) of Mechanicsville, MD; three sons: Richard A. Reedy, Jr. (Crystal) of St. Michaels, MD, Christopher Davis (Jessica) of Sebastian, FL, and Craig Andryski of Warner-Robbins, GA; a brother, Larry M. Reedy (Nancy) of Frederick, MD; eleven grandchildren: Hillary, Aaron, Brendin, Peyton, Addy, Maddie, Olivia, Sabrina, Mitchell, Marley, and Max; and five great grandchildren: Aubrey, Knox, Ellie, Theo, and Grady.

     Memorial services will be private.
