Robyn Lee Smith of Denton, MD, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at her home after a long illness. She was 73 years old.
Born in Annapolis, Robyn was the daughter of the late Robert Allen Means, Sr. and Anita Jane Allen Means. She was a 1966 graduate of Annapolis High School.
Robyn and her husband moved to Denton in 1970. They owned and operated D.W. Masonry where Robyn was the Office Manager. She was a great cook, sewed quilts, crocheted, and canned. She belonged to the Ames UMC in Hobbs near Denton where she sang in the choir. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother devoted to her family and church.
Robyn is survived by her husband, David W. Smith, Sr.; a son, David W. Smith, Jr. (Lisa) of Dagsboro, DE; a daughter, Tammy S. Lednum (William) of Denton; a sister, Marsha Lynn Smith (Tom) of Riva, MD; a sister-in-law, Peggy “Charlie” Means of Federalsburg, MD and a brother-in-law, Mike Buchannan of Orinda, CA; 7 grandchildren: Ryan, Jenna, Abby (Josh), Katlyn (Chris), Brandon, Hannah (Zane), and Caroline; and two great grandchildren: Claire and Miles. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Allen Means, Jr., and a sister, Carol Jane Buchannan.
A funeral service will be held at 2 o’clock on Sunday, September 19 at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. The interment will follow in the Concord Church Cemetery.
