Ruth S. Susini

Ruth Shirley Susini of Preston, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the Caroline Nursing and Rehab in Denton. She was 89 years old.

Born in Baltimore, MD, on June 10, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Henry Edward Johnson and Mary Kathlyn Chase Johnson. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a sweet, kind support to her friends, and a strong foundation for her family. Ruth was a wonderful homemaker whose husband and family were her whole world. She had an innocence about her and always saw the best in others because of her positive attitude. Ruth’s gentle presence will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Sandra Hathaway; two grandchildren: Wade Susini (Erica), and Dawn Wallis (James); four great-grandchildren: Vincent Wallis, Sebastian Susini, Sonny Susini, and Scarlett Susini; daughter-in-law, Debbie Susini; and cousin, Rosemary Parsons (Mike) of South Carolina. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harry Ambrose Susini, and her son, Walter Susini.
