Ruth Ann Breeding

     Ruth Ann Breeding of Denton, MD, passed away on Monday, January 5, 2026, at the Delaware Hospice Facility in Milford, DE surrounded by her loving family. She was 83 years old.

     Born at home in St. Michaels, MD on October 25, 1942, Mrs. Breeding was the daughter of the late Joshua “Jock” Lee Lister and Carrie Alice Watson Lister.

     Ruth was a life-long homemaker and dedicated herself to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She belonged to the Women's Club of Denton and attended St. Luke's United Methodist Church.

     Mrs Breeding is survived by her husband of 68 years, John R. “Bob” Breeding, Sr. of Denton; two daughters, Tracy Cutler (Ed) of Greensboro, MD and Cassie Jopp of Greensboro; two sons, Robin Breeding of Denton and Chris Breeding (Laura) of Denton; nine grandchildren,12 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Melissa Ashley Breeding; two brothers, Merle Lister and Donald Lister; and a sister, Mary Emily Veal.

     A memorial Celebration of Life will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, January 15th at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton where friends may visit with the family from 10 until 11 before the service. The interment will be private.
