Ruth Anna Pippin

     Ruth Anna Pippin, formerly of Greensboro, MD, passed away at the Eden Green Assisted Living in Denton, MD on December 15, 2025. She was 95 years old.

     Born in Dover, DE on New Years Eve, December 31, 1929, Mrs. Pippin was the daughter of the late Joseph Hayes Roche and Cora Elizabeth Steele Roche, the youngest of six siblings. Her husband, Marvin R. Pippin, died on November 30, 2016. Mrs. Pippin was a 1946 graduate of Greensboro High School. On October 24, 1947, she married the love of her life, Marvin R. Pippin who died November 30, 2016. She then worked at the Caroline County Bank in Greensboro and later at the Denton National Bank in Denton. She then worked for the lawyer, Roland C. (Ron) Kent in Denton, before working at the Caroline County Court Clerk's Office until she retired. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, playing cards, and her family.

     Mrs. Pippin is survived by a daughter, Penny Cohey (Bart) of Cordova, MD; two sons, M. Alan Pippin (Barbara) and Larry C. Pippin, both of Denton; and four grandchildren: Christy, Robin, Melissa, and Adam; and eight great grandchildren: Emily, Megan, Morgan, Abe, Pyper, Paisley, Kit, and Errol. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Joseph Roche, Jr. and Richard Roche; and three sisters: Ida Mae Serman, Helen Dean, and Miriam Toy.

     A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Monday, December 22nd, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may call from 1 to 2 before the service. The interment will be private. The family requests that instead of flowers, friends send memorial donations in Mrs. Pippin’s memory to Compass Hospice, 160 Coursevall Drive, Centreville, MD 21617 or to the Caroline County Humane Society, 407 W. Belle Rd, Ridgely, MD 21660..
