Samantha Drew Hand

     It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Samantha Drew Hand. Samantha was in a very bad car accident and passed away on February 20, 2024. She was 24 years old.

     Born in Elkton, MD on August 11, 1999, Samantha was the daughter of Stacie Marie Rhoades. A true dog and animal lover, Sam loved just about anything with 4 feet. She adored life at the beach, attending carnivals, shopping malls, cruises, and travelling adventures. Her smile was contagious. Ms. Hand worked at Denton Walmart and worked her way up to manager. Her coworkers and local shoppers will miss her cheeriness and easy demeanor.

     In addition to her mother, Samantha is survived by her wife Bridgette N. Smith; siblings: Amber, Timmy, and Justin; Grandmother, Vickie Blevins; niece, Makenzy Rhoades; mother-in-law, Regina Smith; stepfather, Wayne Smith, Jr.; sisters-in-law: Miranda, Stacey, and Crystal; and nieces and nephews: Christopher, Alyssa, Jayla, Karsyn, Kayleeana, Logan, and Anna; and her four beloved dogs: Minnie, Junior, Chaos, and Dixie. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dale Blevins, Sr. and Vickie Blevins.

     Friends may visit with the family from 12 – 3pm on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Moore Funeral Homes, PA, 12 S. Second Street, Denton, Maryland. The funeral service will start at 3:00 pm. Burial is private.
