Sharon Ann Davis Obituary

Sharon Ann Davis of Denton, MD, passed away at her home on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was 76 years old.

Born at home in Greensboro, MD, on June 9, 1949, Sharon was the daughter of the late Raymond Mace and Dorothy (Lituski) Mace. She was preceded in death by her sister, Wanda Terhune and her beloved husband, William Davis, Sr.

Sharon was a 1967 graduate of North Caroline High School in Ridgely, MD. She spent most of her working years as a teaching assistant at Denton Elementary School and Greensboro Elementary School in Caroline County. She enjoyed watercolor painting and found great joy in expressing her creativity alongside friends in her art group.

Sharon was a faithful and devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church in Denton, where she taught and served others with a generous heart. She will be remembered most for her deep love of family, her steady faith, and the care she showed to those around her. Being a wife, mother, and grandmother brought her the greatest happiness.

She is survived by five children: William Davis, Jr. (the late Jacki Poore) of Denton; Raymond Davis (Lynn) of Ridgely; Tiffany Brown (Jeff) of Ridgely; Jason Davis (Megan) of Denton; and Kaylyn Davis Wood (Michael) of Denton. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Megahn Jamison (Michael), Lauren Collins (Jason), William “Trey” Davis III, Mace Davis (Kassandra), Aubrey Brooke Deighan (Taylor), Allie Bilbrough (Luke), Zachary Brown (Kendel), Kerigan Brown (Austin Earl), Haley Davis, Hunter Davis, Tannor Wood, Eve Davis, and Gavin Davis; and 8 great-grandchildren: John Collins, Sloan Bilbrough, Mason Deighan, Quinn Deighan, Shepherd Bilbrough, Jaxon Davis, Ivory Wood, and Paisley Earl. Sharon is also survived by her cherished brothers-and-sisters-in law, many nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by others.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 19th, at Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 South Second Street in Denton, where friends may call one hour prior. Interment will follow in Denton Cemetery. Repast will be private.
