T. Wesley Corkell, Jr.

     T. Wesley Corkell, Jr. of Denton, MD passed away at the Caroline Nursing Home on Monday, February 27, 2023, after a lengthy illness. He was 70 years old.

     Born in Milford, DE on June 1, 1952, Mr. Corkell was the son of the late Thomas Wesley Corkell, Sr. and Peggy Mae Hubbard Corkell. He had farmed all of his life and was also a truck driver, a job he loved.

     Mr. Corkell is survived by his wife, Edith A. Corkell of Denton; two sons: Thomas Corkell (Kristy) of Greenwood, DE and Jason Corkell of Denton; one brother, Michael Lee Corkell (Judy) of Denton; four sisters: Mary Anne Wooters of Greenwood, DE, Karen Gibson (Eddie) of Bridgetown, MD, Linda Lu Loweth (Martin) of Denton, and Susie Green (Cliff) of Centreville; three granddaughters: Katie Weber, Calyn Wright, and Alaina Corkell; one grandson, Dylan Corkell; and a great grandson, Tyler Weber. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Barbara McMullen.

     There will be a funeral service at 12 Noon on Monday, March 6th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 South Second Street in Denton where friends may call from 4PM until 6PM on Sunday and also from 11 to 12 before the service on Monday. The interment will be private.
