Tearesa Lynn French of Denton, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. She was 66 years old.
Born on December 16, 1958, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Tearesa was the daughter of the late Raymond Ralph French and Brazillie Bush French. She lived in Denton, where she dedicated her career to serving the community as Director of the Family Support Center and the Federalsburg Judy Center. She retired in June 2023, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and service to countless families.
She is survived by her son, Cory Mansaray and his wife Kate of Denton; her daughter, Mariama Strieder and her husband Peyton of Lutherville, Maryland; three cherished grandchildren, Harper, Elijah, and Sarinah Strieder; and eight sisters: Mary Williams of St. Louis, Missouri; Jeanie Schultz of Hillsboro, Missouri; Barbie Powell of Benton, Arkansas; Brenda Fisher of Van Buren, Arkansas; Ramona Freeman of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Jackie French of Little Rock, Arkansas; Debi Keeter of Van Buren, Arkansas; and Iris Rich of Sherwood, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her brother, Raymond French.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Easton, 7401 Ocean Gateway, Easton, MD 21601.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Tearesa’s memory to support Early Childhood through the Caroline County Human Services Council, 318 Holt Street, Federalsburg, MD 21632 (recently relocated). Please note on the memo line: “In memory of Tearesa French – Early Childhood.”
