Terry L. Boyd

Terry Lee Boyd of Denton, Maryland passed away at her home on Tuesday, August 25, 2026. She was 76 years old.

Born on August 23, 1950, in Easton, MD, she was the daughter of the late Morris Simpson and Katie Hill Simpson. Terry graduated from North Caroline High School with the Class of 1969. She worked for Celeste in Easton for 41 years before retiring in 2015, after many years of dedicated service. Terry was a strong, independent, and hardworking woman who took pride in everything she did.

Above all, Terry loved her family deeply, and her grandchildren held an especially treasured place in her heart. She was one of their biggest supporters and rarely missed a sporting event, game, or other special occasion in their lives.

Terry loved spending time at the beach, especially traveling to Myrtle Beach, and enjoyed motorcycle rides and traveling. Whether she was enjoying a trip, spending time with family, or cheering on one of her grandchildren from the sidelines, some of her happiest moments were those spent with the people she loved.

Terry is survived by her significant other, Stephen R. Kish; son, Wayne Boyd (Heather); daughter, Jennifer Boyd-Gunther (Chris); son, Ryan Kish; eight grandchildren: Kayla Boyd-Branham (Joe), Kyler Boyd (Morgan), Kamryn Boyd (Brandon), Evie Gunther, Avery Gunther, Adalyn Gunther, Reed Kish, and Luke Durham; three sisters: Georgia, Katherine, and Nancy; niece, Robin; as well as many other nieces, nephews, and cousins; and three cats that she loved so dearly - Babygirl, Cole, and Cookie. In addition to her parents, Terry was predeceased by her sister, Ruth Ann and brother, Norris.

A memorial visitation will be Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 5 to 7 PM at Moore Funeral Home, P.A. 12 S. 2nd St. Denton, MD. Interment is private.
