Thelma L. Walls of Denton, MD, formerly of Easton, MD, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at the Caroline Nursing Home in Denton. She was 102 years old.
Born in Double Hills near Denton on January 2, 1920, Mrs. Walls was the daughter of the late John Wesley Harris and Lucretia Porter Harris. Her husband, J. Medford Walls, died April 29, 1985. During WWII, Mrs. Walls had worked in the munitions factory in Chestertown, MD. She then worked thirty years for Merrimack Cleaners in Easton and later for Charlie Louie in Easton.
Mrs. Walls is survived by a niece, Eleanor Davis of Denton and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by one brother, Roland Harris; and three sisters: Mary Henry, Mildred Brogley, and Grace Slaughter.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, December 29th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. in Denton where friends may visit with the family from 10:30 until 11 before the service. The interment will be in the Denton Cemetery.
