Thomas Peyton Carr, Jr.

Thomas Peyton Carr, Jr. peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. He was 77 years old. Born in Richmond, VA, Peyton was the son of the late Thomas P. Carr, Sr., and Alma Henry Carr. 

Peyton received his education at St. Christopher's School and the University of Richmond. He began a computer programming career in 1970 at the Virginia DMV and eventually became a Director at the Virginia Department of Information Technology. He retired in 2002. 

Peyton is survived by Sandy, his wife of 50 years, his sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Rod Layton, two nephews, Cale and Christopher Layton, a niece, Katherine Hofmann and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Karen and Rick Lyman

Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located 12 S. Second St. Denton, MD 21629. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at the Green Mount Cemetery located 11500 Cemetery Rd. Hillsboro, MD 21641.
