Tilghman Richard “Dickie” Scott of Easton, MD, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024, at the Autumn Lake in Chesapeake Woods in Cambridge, MD. He was 85 years old.
Born in Easton on June 19, 1939, Mr. Scott was the son of the late Tilghman Wordie Scott and Mary Frances Cheezum Scott. His wife, Virginia Ann Scott, passed away in 1998.
Mr. Scott was a 1958 graduate of Easton High School. He had worked for many different companies in many places around the United States He had worked for Protane, Northern Propane, Pargas, and Synergy. A veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1958 until 1964, he served as Commander of American Legion Talbot Post 70 for 2009 to 2010.
Mr. Scott is survived by a nephew, Bruce E. Butler of Easton; a niece, Lynn Butler of Trappe, MD; a grandnephew, Matthew Butler of Hurlock, MD; and a grandniece, Amy Bachand of Easton. In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Vicki L. Scott in 2001; a sister, Eleanor V. Scott; and a brother-in-law, Calvin P. Butler.
There will be an 11am graveside memorial service in Old Spring Hill Cemetery in Easton on Friday, November 22nd.
