Timothy R. Butler of Denton, MD, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 18, 2024, after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 52 years old.
Born in Lewes, DE on August 28, 1971, Tim was a kind and gentle soul. He was a life-long resident of Denton and could be seen frequently walking in town. He was a 1990 graduate of North Caroline High School. He previously worked at several McDonalds locations on the Eastern Shore. Prior to his illness, Tim attended Channel Markers in Denton. He enjoyed playing Bingo, spending time on his computer, and listening to 80’s music.
Tim was preceded in death by his loving grandparents that raised him, Rudolph and Eula Mae Dye. He was also preceded in death by his father, John Butler, Sr.; and his mother, Patricia McNatt; and his brother, John Butler, Jr.
Tim will be greatly missed by his longtime girlfriend, Kathy Hall; his brother, Charles “Dave” Wyatt of Owings Mills, MD; his nephews, John Butler III of Monticello, FL and William Butler of Clarksville, MD; his niece, Amanda Butler of Monticello, FL; cousins, Debbie Shelton, Robert Kish, Jr., James Kish, and several extended family members, all of Delaware.
The family would like to express their gratitude to Compass Hospice for the compassionate care and support provided to Tim and his family during his illness. A special heartfelt thank you to Ashley Diem (Nurse) and Roya Testerman (Social Worker). They are truly angels in disguise and God-sent.
The family would also like to express their gratitude to Denton Christian Church for the love, compassion, and acceptance shown to Tim. They truly reflect Christ’s love for people.
The family would also like to thank Erin Plaugher of Channel Markers for all the support and guidance she provided to Tim.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 27th, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. which is located at 12 South Second Street in Denton where friends may visit from 10 until 11 before the service. The interment will be private.
