Tressie Winemiller Reger of Queen Anne, Maryland formerly of Denton, MD died after a long and wonderful life on April 26, 2026, at her home. She was 100 years young.
She was born near Carter, WV on the Winemiller Farm on July 19, 1925. Tressie was the youngest daughter of the late David Heaston Winemiller and Clara Daisy Tenney Winemiller. She married her husband, Loyal, on July 24, 1950. They were married 66 years before his passing.
Tressie worked for Sterling Faucet Company and also taught Sewing for the Singer Sewing Company in Morgantown, WV while her husband attended WVU College. After graduation they moved to Denton in 1956. She was a member of St. Lukes UMC but in 2001 they moved to Queen Anne where they attended Hillsboro-QA UMC. Mrs. Reger loved her family deeply and took extreme pride in all their accomplishments and in keeping her home immaculate and caring for her family. She was a talented seamstress, crafts woman as well as a wonderful mother and grandmother. She had a great sense of humor and quick wit. She also belonged to the Denton Woman’s Group, the Edenton Club.
Mrs. Reger is survived by her loving daughter, who also was her caretaker these last 4 1/2 years, Clara Beth Bramble and husband David of Queen Anne, MD; grandson Spencer Loyal Bramble (Halie) of Wayne, OK, who will forever be what she called her Sweet Heart; and numerous cherished nieces and nephews all over the United States.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her three siblings: Lois Long, Pauline Singleton, and Paul Winemiller and their spouses; her 10 sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law as well as their spouses.
Funeral Services will be held on May 5th at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. 12 S. Second Street in Denton, MD where friends and family may call from 12 until 1 and services at 1 pm. The interment will be in the Denton Cemetery.
