William R. Bacon, Sr.

     William R. Bacon, Sr. of Stevensville, MD, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the Corsica Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Centreville, MD. He was 82 years old.

     Born in Baltimore City, MD on March 27, 1938, Mr. Bacon was the son of the late Edward Thomas Bacon, Sr. and Ida May Jones Bacon. His wife, Maryann V. Bacon, passed away on April 12, 1996. Mr. Bacon and his family moved to the Queenstown area in 1972. He loved to fish and later go to the casinos. He was a printer for the U.S. Government Printing Office in Washington, D.C. until he retired in 1995. He has lived in Bay City since 1998.

     Mr. Bacon is survived by his daughter, Sandra L. Stiles (Todd) of Ridgely, MD; two sons: William R. Bacon, Jr. (Barbara) of Ridgely and Thomas E. Bacon (Tricia) of Rowlett, TX; four grandchildren: Kristin Burneston (Steven), Brandon Stiles (Ashley), Justin Bacon (Jean), and Victoria Bacon; five great grandchildren: Claire Burneston, Stella Burneston, Aryana Bacon, Conner Bacon, and Jacob Stiles; one brother, Vernon Bacon, and a sister, Virginia Bozek. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Bacon, Jr. and James Bacon; and three sisters: Agnes Carnabuci, Joan Kaufman, and Elizabeth Fisher. He is also survived by his special loving companion, Jacqueline Clark, with whom he has been with for 24 years.
