William D. Green, Jr. of Denton, MD, formerly of Millington, MD and Elkton, MD, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2020 with his family at his side. He was 66 years old.
Born in Chestertown, MD on October 17, 1953, Mr. Green was the son of the late William David Green, Sr. and Ann Whiteman Green. He was a 1973 graduate of Kent County High School and then received his Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture from the University of MD. Mr. Green had worked for the Quail Run Nursery in Millington, MD and the Pardoe Lawn/Tree Service in Chestertown. He also liked to work on cars and trucks as well as being an avid listener of Rock and R&B music.
Mr. Green is survived by his son with whom he lived, Matthew Green and his wife Shelby of Denton and his beloved grandson, Maverick Matthew Green. He is also survived by a brother, Jay Benton Green of Washington, NC.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, January 23rd, at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A. located at 12 S. Second Street in Denton where friends may call from 10 until 11 before the service. The interment will follow in the Denton Cemetery located at 24865 Meeting House Road in Denton.
