William F. Hubbard of Denton, MD went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 30, 2020. He was 83 years old.
Born at home on a farm outside Denton, Mr. Hubbard was the son of the late Sherman Russell Hubbard and Hester Ann Sutherland Hubbard. He was a 1955 graduate of Caroline High School in Denton.
Mr. Hubbard is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. During the 1960’s and 1970’s, he managed the McMahan Oil Company in West Denton. He then worked for many years for Harry Heinsohn’s Building Contractors and the Talbot Building Supply Store in Easton, MD. During the 1990’s, he worked for Caroline County Roads Department until he retired. After he retired, he worked part time at the Upland Golf Course in Denton.
Mr. Hubbard is survived by his loving wife of 60 years , Margaret (Peggy) Hubbard of Denton; a daughter, Sheila Menzel (Kevin) of Denton and a son, Clark Hubbard (Carolyn) of Denton; four brothers: George P. Hubbard (Marti) of Conway, SC, Frederick L. Hubbard (Patricia) of Denton, Bruce Hubbard (Dinah) of Denton, and John B. Hubbard (Shirley) of Crystal River, FL; three grandchildren: Auburn Hubbard, Justus M. Gellert, and Michael C. Menzel; and a great grandchild, Arla Gellert. He was predeceased by two brothers, Russell Lee Hubbard and Raymond Gary Hubbard.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, January 5th, at the Denton Wayside Churches of Christ in Christian Union near Denton where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. The interment will be in the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock.
