William H. “Bill” Eaton passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at his home near Ridgely. He was 76 years old.
Born in Norfolk, VA, Mr. Eaton was the son of the late Harold Eaton and Violet Louise Wroten Eaton. He moved to Annapolis, MD as a child and was a 1966 graduate of Annapolis High School. He became an owner of Azar Moving and Storage in Annapolis, which he operated for many years until his retirement in 2019.
Mr. Eaton moved to Denton, MD in 1984. He became active in his community, serving on the Denton Town Council from January 1990 to 1994 when he served as Mayor. He also served on the Caroline County Board of Education in the 1990’s. A fun-loving person, he was a long-time member of the Choptank River Yacht Club in Denton. His favorite reference was from the play, Annie, where he would say he wanted to go to “Easy Street”!
Mr. Eaton is survived by his wife, Carlene Eaton; his daughter Lisa and her husband Richie; two grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. Memorial services will be private.
